Biden pledges support for Israel during tragic war, says praying for families
President Joe Biden addressed the media this morning from the White House, promising support for Israel.
“In this moment of tragedy, we want to say to them, to Hamas, and to United States stand with Israel, we will not ever fail to have her back. We will make sure the citizens have what they need and can continue to defend themselves,” said Biden from the White House.
Biden highlighted the terrors of war – innocent families were murdered, and taken hostage. Families torn apart.
“It’s unconscionable.”
Biden was clear that Israel can and should defend themselves and their people, voicing support for Netanyahu declaring war on Hamas.
“Israel has a right to defend themselves and their people. Full stop. He went on to say that no one who is against Israel should try to use this moment of weakness in the nation to exploit the people of Israel. “This is not a moment for any party hostile to Israel to exploit these attacks to seek advantage. The world is watching.”
Biden stated he and Jill are praying for the families impacted and promised to remain in close contact with President Netanyahu.
“Let there be no mistake, the United States stands with the state of Israel. Just as we have since the moment the United States recognized it as a nation 75 years ago.”
