In Shock to the Nation, President Joe Biden has declared Easter Sunday ‘Transgender Day of Visibility’
Easter, traditionally a time of celebration and renewal for many, took an unexpected turn this year as a proclamation signed by Joe Biden regarding trans visibility sparked a wave of controversy and outrage. The statement, issued by Joe Biden ignited heated debates across social media platforms Saturday.
“NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility.”
The proclamation, made during Easter weekend sparked outrage as Christians around the world prepare for Easter Sunday.
Evangelist Jack Graham responded on X writing, “Easter is a sacred day to millions of Americans and Christian’s around the world. This action by the Joe Biden regime is deplorable debauched and demonic. This is not about left or right politically but right or wrong morally. Enough is enough! How dare this President dishonor the King of all Kings who is alone worthy to be worshipped on the Lord’s Day. But of course Jesus defeated the grave and will defeat all his enemies and those who think than can diminish Him by a declaration from Hell.”
Critics of the proclamation argued that it contradicted their religious teachings and undermined the sanctity of gender roles as defined by their faith. Some viewed it as an attempt to impose secular values on religious institutions, leading to concerns about religious freedom and autonomy.
Biden continued in the proclamation, ” I call upon all Americans to join us in lifting up the lives and voices of transgender people throughout our Nation and to work toward eliminating violence and discrimination based on gender identity.”
“This is really hard to believe,” wrote Pastor Greg Laurie. “President Biden issued a proclamation recognizing March 31 as Transgender Day of Visibility. This is also the date of Easter where we celebrate the fact that Jesus Christ rose from the dead. What is the president thinking? This is a profound insult to the sincerely held religious beliefs of millions of Americans on our holiest day. America needs God more then ever and yet this is the stance the White House takes. It’s time to turn back to God not turn our backs on God. We need to repent and pray for a spiritual awakening in America. It is our only hope.”
Born and raised in a Catholic family in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Biden’s relationship with his faith has not been without controversy or criticism. As a Catholic politician, he has faced scrutiny and debate over issues such as abortion and LGBTQ+ rights, where his views have sometimes diverged from official Catholic teachings.
Today is perhaps the clearest example of diverging from the teachings of the Church for President Biden whose administration has single-handedly wreaked more havoc on our nation and its identity than any president in modern history.
