Amanda Mammana, who recently wowed millions of television viewers with her performance on America’s Got Talent, is set to participate in CT CityFest with Andrew Palau this coming weekend, August 27-28, at Seaside Park in Bridgeport, Connecticut. CT CityFest with Andrew Palau is a region-wide campaign focused on serving the region and proclaiming a clear message of hope. It came about as a result of years of planning by hundreds of leaders from the faith, business, and civic communities in Southwest Connecticut.

The 19-year-old Connecticut native first appeared on the July 19th episode of America’s Got Talent. Sharing about her struggle with a speech impediment and the freedom she has found in music, Mammana stunned the crowd, brought the judges to their feet, and caused a buzz throughout the Internet in the days following.

“Sharing about her struggle with a speech impediment and the freedom she has found in music, Mammana stunned the crowd, brought the judges to their feet, and caused a buzz throughout the Internet in the days following,” the Luis Palau Association stated via a news release.

Mammana, who performed once again last night as a semi-finalist for the talent competition, will share her powerful story of overcoming obstacles and perform as part of CT CityFest with Andrew Palau this weekend. The event is being hosted by more than 175 churches, organizations, and businesses throughout Southwest Connecticut and will include performances by TobyMac, Lecrae, We Are Messengers, Blanca, Megan Duke, Zenzo, and Impact Music. With a special emphasis on unity, hope, and good news, the free two-day festival will be held August 27-28, at Seaside Park in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Mammana attended a Christian K-12 school in Connecticut, shouted out their alumni online writing, “CHS Alum Amanda Michelle Mammana showed the world that obstacles can be overcome, that beauty can come from struggle, and that gifts from the Lord will always be unwrapped and used for His glory by those who love Him. Amanda, thank you for shining your light, lifting your voice, and walking in His confidence. Your journey has just begun and we walk this path with you. We are so proud of you and excited to see you this Sunday evening at CT CityFest.”
