Bo Nix thanks Jesus for football moments at University of Oregon

University of Oregon Ducks QB and Heisman Trophy contender, Bo Nix, gave glory to God after the Ducks routed the University of Colorado Buffaloes this weekend, 42-6.

Faith in action: Nix, posting to his Instagram account on Monday, shared in his post how his faith is keeping him anchored and in awe of the journey God has him on. “Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10…”  Nix continued, “Jesus, thank you for these moments.” The post contained a series of photos from Saturday’s game including one where his team is praying together on the field, and a face-to-face moment with Colorado Buffaloes’ highly visible head coach and outspoken believer, Deion Sanders

Jesus, thank you for these moments

Off the field: A true God, family, football man, Nix was married to Izzy Smoke in 2022. The couple recently celebrated their one-year anniversary, quoting Proverbs 18:22.

“A man’s greatest treasure is his wife — she is a gift from the Lord.” – Proverbs 18:22

More athletes are giving glory to God, win or lose. They are depending on the strength of the Lord.

On the field: Nix’s stats don’t disappoint either. In his first four games this season, the senior has accumulated 1,169 yards, 11 TDs, only 1 interception with a QB rating of 80.6 which is 20th in the nation.

Nix is a top contender for the prized, Heisman Trophy and an on and off-the-field leader in Oregon.
