Evangelist, pastor, and successful movie producer, Greg Laurie, has announced the annual Harvest Crusade, an annual stadium event impacting thousands with the gospel, has been forced to find a new venue this year, and it’s not for the reason you might think.

Laurie explained that up to this year, the crusade has always been held at Angel Stadium in Anaheim. But not this year. A new rule prevents the general public from walking on the field’s grass during baseball season. Since the altar calls consist of people coming forward onto the field, this year, Angel Stadium said it can’t happen on their turf, pun intended.

“Mark your calendars because SoCal Harvest is back this summer!! This July, we’re taking the event to the Anaheim Honda Center, as we were told people will not be able to walk on the grass due to baseball season. As you know, calling people down to the field to make public professions of faith is a major part of these events. We may one day return, but for now, God is steering us toward this new venue and we can’t wait to see what He’s going to do there!
See you all again soon!”

Last year alone the event attracted over 51,000 people to hear the gospel, another 161,000 people watched online and 8,667 people committed to Christ, according to Harvest’s 2022 impact report.
