Turning Point CEO Reveals Special Meaning Behind Make Heaven Crowded Tour
TPUSA Faith officially launched its “Make Heaven Crowded” national tour this week, kicking off the first stop just outside Los Angeles at Harvest Christian Fellowship, drawing believers together for worship, testimony, and a renewed call to share the gospel.
During the event, Erika Kirk, wife of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, shared the deeply personal mission that has guided their marriage and now serves as the foundation for the nationwide tour.
The heart of the movement is simple but profound: share the gospel, bring people to Christ, and quite literally make heaven crowded.
“And so for us, when we got married, we wanted to be very intentional about how the Lord would use our marriage,” Erika Kirk recalled. “We actually wrote down goals for our marriage, and one of those goals was to always spread the gospel.”
“At the very top, we wrote: spread the gospel—make heaven crowded. That became our thing,” she explained.
Erika shared that whether Charlie was witnessing to someone one-on-one, speaking at an event, or sharing Jesus in everyday moments, the phrase became a quiet affirmation between them—“a little wink,” she said—reminding each other of their shared calling.
“That’s what we wanted the Lord to use our marriage for,” Kirk said. “And that’s why this tour is so special to me.”
She described the tour as an opportunity to take what she called a slice of heaven, a tangible sense of God’s presence, and bring it to churches and communities across the country.
“I wanted to bring that extension and that beauty, that palpable feeling of the Holy Spirit, to people everywhere,” she said.
And that’s exactly what’s been happening since the tragic death of Charlie Kirk: churches have been filled, people are coming to faith, Bible sales have surged, and America is becoming more conservative. Gen Z is the most conservative generation in 70 years, and many credit Turning Point for taking the lead and championing the cause of Christ and conservative values.
The launch event featured a lineup of faith leaders and influencers, including evangelist and social media influencer Bryce Crawford, Pastor and Evangelist Greg Laurie, TPUSA Faith Senior Director Lucas Miles, and Girls Gone Bible hosts Angela Halili and Arielle Reitsma. Each shared their personal faith journey and encouraged attendees to actively participate in God’s mission to reach the lost.
Kirk also spoke candidly about her own suffering through the loss of Charlie, endurance, and trusting God through trials, drawing from John 19:25, which describes Mary, the mother of Jesus, standing at the foot of the cross.
“She just stood,” Kirk said, reflecting on the passage. “She didn’t scream. She didn’t accuse God. She didn’t try to explain Him away. She stood with composure and with divine patience.”
“When you trust in the Lord,” she added, “you have no idea what you can bear until you’re tried. And in those moments, you realize His grace truly is sufficient, because you can feel it.”
As the “Make Heaven Crowded” tour moves forward, TPUSA Faith leaders say the goal is souls. The message echoed throughout the night was clear: now is the time for believers to step forward, share their faith boldly, and partner with God in His redemptive work.
