TPUSA Faith Leader Shares the Spiritual Battle Behind His New Bestseller — and Charlie Kirk’s Lasting Legacy
In a powerful interview this week, Lucas Miles, Senior Director of Turning Point USA Faith and author of the book Pagan Threat, reflected on the rapid growth of the faith movement Charlie Kirk helped launch — and the spiritual war shaping America.
Miles shared how Charlie personally recruited him, describing Kirk as a unifier who recognized the urgency of calling pastors to courage in a cultural moment defined by division and deception.
“Charlie realized the importance of the church coming together to address the issues head-on,” Miles said. “He wasn’t a pastor — but he was pastoring many of us.”
That mission has only accelerated since Kirk’s passing. TPUSA Faith has added nearly 4,000 churches, with pastors boldly stepping forward who once feared controversy.
Miles notes three kinds of pastors: the faithful, the traitorous, and what he calls “trembling pastors” — those hiding from cultural battle. His challenge echoes Charlie’s: now is the time to stand.
The discussion turned to Miles’ book, Pagan Threat, already a New York Times bestseller. The book exposes what he sees as an intentional effort to replace Christianity with pagan ideology as a vehicle for Marxism.
“Christianity is antithetical to Marxism,” Miles said. “To plant Marxism in America, you must uproot Christianity.”
He argues America is in a decisive spiritual conflict — with revival rising on one side, and pagan ideology, identity rebellion, and radical secularism on the other.
Yet Miles remains hopeful.
“Charlie prepared this organization for this moment. His legacy isn’t ending — it’s multiplying.”
In a time when the nation stands at a cultural and spiritual crossroads, Miles’ message is clear: truth must be proclaimed without fear, and the church must lead boldly.
