City recognizes quick action during separate summer emergencies
Laguna Beach has honored two people for life-saving actions during separate emergencies this summer.
One honoree, a 19-year-old visitor, performed CPR following a traffic collision. Another, a former Laguna Beach lifeguard, stepped in to rescue a swimmer caught in a rip current.
The recognitions highlight the difference ordinary people can make when they respond quickly in an emergency and offer a positive community note amid this week’s Orange County headlines.
