Nearly 60 fathers were meeting babies born during the deployment, ABC News reported.
The USS Abraham Lincoln returned to San Diego on October 8 after a 321-day deployment, bringing sailors home to waiting families.
ABC News reported that nearly 60 fathers aboard were meeting babies born while they were away. The carrier spent 265 days without a port visit during the deployment.
Sailors described the assignment as difficult. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who visited before the homecoming, acknowledged extending the deployment twice and said operational needs required it.
The return ended the second-longest carrier deployment since the Cold War, according to ABC News.
