The amended complaint says Feucht solicited money for a national tour that the plaintiff alleges had already been fully funded by Turning Point USA.
A Southern California donor has renewed fraud claims against worship leader Sean Feucht and his ministries in an amended federal lawsuit over a $250,000 contribution.
Steve Bray, an Orange County businessman and philanthropist, filed the amended complaint September 30 after a federal judge dismissed the original lawsuit earlier in September while allowing Bray to refile with additional detail.
The revised complaint alleges Feucht solicited the donation for the 2023 Kingdom to the Capitol Tour even though Turning Point USA had already agreed to cover the tour’s costs. The allegations have not been proven in court.
Feucht and his ministries have denied wrongdoing. After the earlier dismissal, Feucht said the allegations could not be supported in court and described the ruling as vindication. The amended filing means the dispute remains active.
The complaint continues to seek damages on claims including fraudulent misrepresentation, negligent misrepresentation, civil theft by false pretenses and unfair business practices.
The case now turns on whether the amended allegations are sufficiently specific and supported to proceed.
