Faith and Innovation Lead the Way as Trump’s Cabinet Meets for the First Time
President Donald Trump’s newly assembled cabinet opened its first meeting today with prayer. Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Scott Turner asked for God’s blessing on the cabinet meeting and for righteous clarity for each of the cabinet members.
The meeting, held at the White House, brought together key members of Trump’s administration including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Secretary of Defence Peter Hegseth. Many of Trump’s cabinet picks are known for their strong faith and commitment to conservative values. The prayer focused on seeking wisdom, unity, and guidance for the nation’s leadership.

Adding to the day’s significance, DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) Leader, Elon Musk attended the meeting as self-described, “tech support” for the administration. Musk, who has positioned himself as a free speech advocate and a critic of government overreach, praised the assembled team as “the most talented group of people ever in U.S. history.”
Trump touted Apple’s latest announcement of a $500B investment in the US tech sector, which will create an estimated 20,000 jobs.
The cabinet meeting comes as the administration gears up for major policy initiatives, even after the busiest and most significant first 30 days perhaps in US History. Trump’s policies are the very policies he pitched to the US people during his campaign. Trump is now moving with strength, vision, and clarity to implement those policies he promised. These include slashing government spending, economic growth, deregulation, and national security. Trump’s decision to begin with prayer reveals his continued emphasis on faith in governance and God’s blessing on this nation—something his supporters have championed as a stark contrast to the previous administration.
With a mix of faith, policy, principles, common sense, and technological vision at the forefront, Trump’s cabinet is set to embark on a new chapter—one that promises to be both prayerful and action-driven,
