Dallas Jenkins also announced a new Christmas special, “The Chosen: The Three Kings,” which is scheduled to air nationally on FOX in December.
More than 40,000 churches around the world have signed up to host advance screenings of the first episode of Season 6 of The Chosen, marking an unusual church-centered rollout for the global biblical drama.
Series creator Dallas Jenkins announced the screenings during a livestream Sunday. Participating churches can show the episode before Season 6 officially premieres on streaming platforms in November.
The upcoming season centers on the final 24 hours before Jesus’ crucifixion, including His arrest and the scattering of His disciples.
Jenkins said churches were chosen for the early screenings in part because the storyline raises theological and biblical questions that pastors and ministry leaders can help audiences explore.
Season 6 is scheduled to begin streaming on Prime Video Nov. 15, with additional episodes released weekly. Its season finale is planned for a global theatrical release in spring 2027.
Jenkins also announced a new standalone Christmas production titled The Chosen: The Three Kings. The special will air on FOX in December and will explore the biblical account of the Magi while connecting elements of Seasons 6 and 7.
The rollout illustrates how The Chosen continues to blend traditional entertainment distribution with direct partnerships involving churches and Christian ministries around the world.
