CBN News reports a surging spiritual movement across U.S. colleges, with revivals marking campuses like Ohio State—where nearly 2,000 students committed to Christ last week—and the University of Kentucky, where over 2,000 responded to the gospel this month. Ministries like Intervarsity, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Cru note unprecedented faith commitments, including a 33% rise in decisions for Christ and over one million global salvations.
Months of Prayer Leading to Revival
Unite US, behind recent massive revival events, credits months of prayer, including “Jericho Marches,” for breakthroughs. CDOP’s Thai Lam told CBN’s Faith Nation that this “incredible season” of revival could shape America’s future as students are “marked by Jesus” for decades to come.
“We’re just trusting that what we are seeing at Ohio State and Kentucky and [Texas] A&M would be the normal story of what God is doing across campuses in America,” Lam told CBN.
The ministry mobilized fasting and prayer leading up to yesterday’s Day of Prayer and leaders believe this is just the beginning of God marking this next generation and calling people to prayer and repentance.
“We’re seeing the transformative power of united prayer. This is more than a call to pray—it’s a vision for revival.”
Rick Warren Exhorts Students, “Revival is coming”
The day culminated with Pastor Rick Warren sharing a word of exhortation. “I’m so proud of you,” Warren shared. “I want to tell you this: Revival is coming here. It’s coming,” Warren encouraged the students and those participating. “I’ve worked with four generations. I’ve never seen a generation more hungry for God.”
