Fire Marshall Closes Doors as Thousands Commit to Jesus; Baptisms Next Week at Newport Beach!
Overflowing Crowd and Miracles at Harvest Crusade 2024
Last night, Angel Stadium was bursting at the seams as tens of thousands gathered for the Harvest Crusade 2024, a remarkable event led by Pastor Greg Laurie. The overwhelming turnout was so immense that the Fire Marshall had to close the doors, yet the spirit of worship and community extended far beyond the stadium walls.
An Unforgettable Night
Pastor Greg Laurie shared his amazement: “Angel stadium was so full last night for the Harvest Crusade that the Fire Marshall closed the doors. Despite this, people outside stayed and joined the worship. Amazing!” This enthusiasm was palpable, as those unable to enter the stadium remained on the grounds, participating in the event’s vibrant worship.

Incredible Worship Experience
The night featured an awe-inspiring worship experience led by renowned Christian artists Brooke Ligertwood and Chris Tomlin. Their performances ushered in the presence of God, creating an atmosphere of reverence and joy. Pastor Greg Laurie brought a word of repentance and turning back to God through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ. Thousands responded to the invitation to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and made their way onto the outfield of Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California. Each individual was led into a relationship with God through Jesus and given a Bible to begin their spiritual journey.
The celebration culminated in a spectacular concert by Phil Wickham, who led the crowd in worship as a beautiful fireworks display lit up the sky. Thousands committed their lives to Jesus amidst the dazzling lights and powerful worship.
Phil Wickham shared his excitement on Instagram, writing, “So blessed to be apart of @harvestcrusades tonight alongside my good friend @brookeligertwood! There’s nothing like celebrating people coming to Jesus!!! Come on’!!! ”
Record-Breaking Attendance and Life-Changing Decisions
Incredible numbers emerged from the night, with 50,000 people attending in person and over 3,500 making professions of faith. Pastor Laurie emphasized the importance of these commitments: “Let’s be praying for them that they would grow spiritually.”
“What a night! Angel Stadium was packed to capacity!” Laurie wrote on X. “Thousands were not able to get in. Countless thousands more watched online around the world. The focus of the Harvest Crusade is calling people to Christ. So many responded to the invitation. I will give you numbers when I receive them, but thank you all for your prayers and support and as always, To God Be The Glory!”
Hope for California
Reflecting on the significance of the event, Pastor Greg remarked, “People like to write California off. But God is not done with our state. The last great spiritual awakening, the Jesus Revolution, started here. I pray it will happen here again!”
