Post-game “5th Quarter” events at Valor Christian High School combine worship, student testimonies and baptisms
Nearly 100 students have been baptized through a series of student-focused worship gatherings at Valor Christian High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
The school’s “5th Quarter” gatherings are held after athletic events and bring students, families, coaches and members of the community together for worship and testimonies.
Since the gatherings began in fall 2024, 96 students have been baptized, according to the school. Seventeen students were baptized at the latest gathering following a home football game on Sept. 18.
School officials say the gatherings grew from an effort to create opportunities for students to encounter and publicly express their Christian faith outside traditional worship settings.
