NYC Mayoral Candidate Zohran Mamdani’s Radical Ties and Pro-Terrorism Statements
As New York City approaches its mayoral election day on Tuesday, November 4, faith leaders and national security experts are raising the alarm over a growing threat to America’s freedom and moral foundation — the rise of an openly socialist, pro-Islamist political figure gaining traction in America’s biggest city.
Author and terrorism expert Brigitte Gabriel, who grew up under Islamic law, said that “a Shariah-free America is within our grasp — but only if we recognize and resist those who would bring the ideology of oppression and control into our own government.”
According to Dr. Alex McFarland, a theologian and national radio host, that goal could be jeopardized if Ugandan-born Muslim and self-described socialist Zohran Mamdani becomes the next mayor of New York City.
Mamdani’s record shows clear sympathy for extremist ideologies. “The very same people who once tried to obliterate our way of life are now infiltrating our government to tear us apart from the inside,” McFarland said.
Pro-Terrorism Connections and Radical Affiliations
Mamdani has publicly supported a rap group known for praising the Taliban and Al-Qaeda, and for lyrics glorifying one of the 9/11 hijackers. Mamdani himself once pursued a short-lived rap career, reportedly referencing his admiration for “The Holy Five,” a Hamas-affiliated terrorist group.
For many New Yorkers, this strikes a raw nerve — especially as the city marked the 24th anniversary of the September 11 attacks just weeks ago.
“I stood in the rubble of the Twin Towers just two days after the horrific attack,” McFarland recalled. “To now see a mayoral frontrunner defending the worldview of the attackers is almost unfathomable.” Ye
Refusal to Denounce Violence
Despite repeated calls from both Jewish and Christian leaders, Mamdani has refused to denounce the slogan “Globalize the Intifada” — a phrase used by radical activists to call for violent action in the name of Islam.
When pressed on his positions, Mamdani has accused critics of “Islamophobia,” a charge McFarland dismisses as a political smokescreen.
“Sharia law sanctions oppression of women and permits practices that are illegal in the United States,” McFarland said. “It’s not Islamophobic to defend constitutional freedom — it’s patriotic.”
Communist Praise and the ‘Taqiyya Trap’
Adding to the controversy, Mamdani was photographed smiling alongside a Cuban Communist Party delegation last year — prompting Miami’s Cuban mayor to compare him to Fidel Castro.
“Castro convinced people to hand over their businesses and promised equality,” the Cuban mayor said. “He delivered equality alright — equal poverty, equal misery.”
McFarland also warns of “taqiyya,” the Islamic doctrine allowing Muslims to conceal their true beliefs until in power. “Are New York voters Islamophobic — or are they finally waking up to Mamdani’s taqiyya trap?” he asked.
A Warning and a Wake-Up Call
Gabriel and McFarland both say the coming election is a spiritual and cultural crossroads for the nation.
“The outcome in New York will send a message to the entire world,” McFarland said. “Will we stand for freedom, or will we open the gates to the very ideology that once sought to destroy us?”
