Faith Leaders Urge Nationwide Participation in 40 Days of Prayer, Fasting, and Repentance to Seek God’s Mercy and Transform America Before the 2024 Election
As America stands at a critical crossroads leading up to the 2024 Presidential Election, Christian leaders are issuing an urgent call for believers across the nation to join in 40 days of prayer, fasting, and repentance. The nationwide movement—titled 40 Days to Save America—will run through November 5, Election Day, with a focus on seeking God’s mercy and guidance for the nation.
Pulitzer Prize-nominated journalist and six-time #1 bestselling author Troy Anderson, along with award-winning author Dr. Larry Keefauver, are spearheading the campaign. Anderson, known for his book The Trump Code, and Keefauver, author of Prayers of the Presidents, are calling on Christians to unite in prayer and reflection, invoking the biblical story of Nineveh’s repentance to underscore the urgency of the moment.

Anderson and Keefauver believe this season is a divine opportunity for believers to pray fervently for the healing of America, referencing the biblical promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
