Month Of Baptisms Culminating In Global Pentecost Sunday Events And D.C. Livestream
Corona del Mar, Calif. — The Baptize movement will launch a major month of baptisms with Baptize California on Saturday, May 2, at Pirates Cove Beach in Corona del Mar.
The events will culminate on Pentecost Sunday, May 24, with Baptize America and Baptize the World, as churches across the U.S. and over 60 nations participate in coordinated baptisms. A special livestream will originate from the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C.
What began as a Southern California beach gathering has grown into a global movement. In just 24 months, it has united over 1,600 churches and seen more than 50,790 baptisms.
“Baptism is a public declaration that a life has been changed by Jesus Christ,” said Pastor Mark Francey of Oceans Church. “We’re uniting the Church to lift up the name of Jesus.”
