Kathryn Krick’s Radical Ministry of Deliverance Sparks Miracles & Questions
Kathryn Krick, a rising voice in the Christian world, is turning heads and sparking miracles. As the lead pastor of Five-Fold Church in Los Angeles and a globe-trotting minister, she’s becoming known for the miracles and signs following her ministry. Now, she’s challenging everything you thought you knew about deliverance, insisting it’s not about method or ritual, it’s all about faith in Jesus Christ.
Deliverance Starts with Surrender to Jesus
“Deliverance is free,” she declares. “If there’s a cost, it’s surrendering yourself to God. It’s nothing you can buy.” This belief isn’t just talk for Krick—it’s a reality she sees unfold weekly at her church, 5F Church in the West Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles. 5F is short for Five-Fold Church, referring to the five-fold ministry Paul wrote about in the book of Ephesians 4:11: “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”
Krick’s mission is clear: strip away the mystery and show people how to break free from spiritual bondage. She teaches that freedom isn’t locked behind complex ceremonies or expensive spiritual fixes—it’s a gift already paid for by Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross. “All you need to do is come to Him and believe,” she says, setting her approach apart from other spiritual gurus. She points to Jesus’s ministry on earth as proof—He delivered, He healed, and He still does today.
Are Apostles for Today?
Krick’s ministry is growing rapidly, traveling internationally and sharing the gospel with millions, with incredible miracles and healings reported. Yet, as with any ministry of signs and wonders, Krick isn’t without controversy. To start she calls herself an Apostle. The word Apostle means “sent one” and while all Christians are sent, to claim the title speaks of authority and leadership in the church. Some circles insist that apostolic ministry ended after the book of Acts, others believe God is sending apostles today. Secondly, Krick has gotten flack as a woman in leadership in the church. Certain circles believe it is against the writing of Scripture for a woman to lead a church. Citing verses like 1 Timothy 2:11-12 which reads, “I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent,” the text has been used to discourage and even discredit women in ministry. Yet throughout history and Scripture, God has used women in incredible ways. Others prefer to have strong oversight and accountability for ministries and churches. 5F Church doesn’t give an indication of a connection to any specific denomination, network, or spiritual oversight.
Still she presses on. Krick reminds people of the ministries of the late Kathryn Kuhlman, a woman God raised up to do incredible signs and wonders in the 60s and 70s, or the late Aimee Simple-McPherson, a woman who God used in amazing way as founder of the Four Square denomination and Angelus Temple Church in Los Angeles, now operated by Pastor Matthew Barnett and The LA Dream Center. Krick is undeterred by her detractors and prefers to focus on her calling: setting people free, in Jesus’ Name. “The gift of healing and freedom is available to you now,” Krick urges. Her teachings tackle what holds people back—demonic oppression, curses, unrepented sin—and why turning to God is the only step that matters. She leans on Scripture like Acts 13:38-39: “Through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and by him everyone who believes is freed from everything from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.”

With a growing online following and a passion for seeing lives changed, whatever your thoughts are about her, she is making a difference through her ministry and pointing people to Christ.
