A Commitment to the Church
The campaign comes just weeks after Hallow’s founder, Alex Jones, made a stunning declaration regarding the ownership of the company. In a heartfelt message, Jones revealed that he has committed all of his personal equity in Hallow to the Church, reinforcing the app’s mission as a ministry rather than a business venture.
“I made a deal with God. All of the equity/ownership I have now in Hallow will go back to the Church,” Jones wrote. “All of this was a gift given to me by the Lord and His Church. It deserves to be returned.”
Jones emphasized that he remains the largest individual equity holder in Hallow, meaning that the Church is now effectively the largest stakeholder.
“I say all this here just for the folks who fear this whole thing is a money grab,” he continued. “No investor controls Hallow. In humility, I do. This thing exists to help you pray and to reach out to those who are most lost. No other reason.”
Jones concluded his statement with a simple yet powerful prayer:
“Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me, a sinner.”
Faith in the Spotlight
Hollywood has often been criticized for its secular leanings, but Wahlberg and Pratt—both outspoken about their Christian faith—continue to use their platforms to inspire prayer and devotion. Wahlberg, a devout Catholic, has previously partnered with Hallow on similar campaigns, while Pratt, known for his unapologetic expressions of faith, frequently encourages his fans to seek a relationship with God.
With Lent serving as a time of reflection and renewal for millions of Christians worldwide, Hallow’s “Stay Prayed Up” campaign is poised to make a significant spiritual impact. Whether the initiative reaches its 1-million-prayer goal remains to be seen, but one thing is clear—Hallow is not just another app; it is a movement dedicated to leading people closer to Christ.
