Prescription for Renewal challenged Christian doctors and medical professionals to consider using their skills in service around the world.

Nearly 1,000 people gathered in Orlando for Samaritan’s Purse’s 2026 Prescription for Renewal conference, where Christian medical professionals were challenged to consider using their skills to serve people around the world.
The annual conference is organized through World Medical Mission, the medical arm of Samaritan’s Purse that connects physicians and other healthcare professionals with mission hospitals and ministries overseas.
Attendees participated in worship, biblical teaching, medical lectures and sessions focused on international service. Samaritan’s Purse COO Edward Graham encouraged participants to remain open to serving in places they may never previously have considered.
The gathering marked the 35th annual Prescription for Renewal conference and included more than 100 students representing eight universities, according to Samaritan’s Purse.
For the ministry, the conference is built around the conviction that medical expertise can meet physical needs while also creating opportunities to share the hope of Jesus Christ.
