Perry opened up recently about his prayer life before his untimely death
Former ‘Friends’ star, Matthew Perry, was found dead today, Saturday, October 28 at 54 at his Los Angeles home. Sources are calling it an apparent drowning after Perry was found in his hot tub. No foul play is suspected and no drugs were found at the scene, according to police.
Perry recently opened up about his struggles with addiction, as well as his faith in his recent memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing.
The memoir walks the reader through Perry’s struggles including 14 rehab attempts, multiple surgeries, and over 60 detoxes, and how it finally brought him to cry out to God at rock bottom. Perry describes crying out to God in desperation: “’God, please help me,’ I whispered. ‘Show me that you are here. God, please help me.’”
Perry was an American-Canadian actor, improv comedian and a producer. He gained acclaim for his role as Chandler Bing on Friends between ’94-’04 and earned a Screen Actors Guild Award.
