Thankful for opportunity to come to faith
Hall of Fame Quarterback, Jim Kelly, who led the Buffalo Bills to four straight Superbowls, shared via Instagram that God changed his life, and that getting becoming a Christian was, “the best decision I’ve made in my life.”
Now 63 years old, Kelly shared that he wished he would have come to Christ sooner, but he knows God was working behind the scenes, in season and out of season.
“I wish I would’ve come to him sooner. But his timing is perfect. And finally I was baptized. I have so many people to thank especially all of the people who have prayed for me for so long. THANK YOU 🙏”
Kelly made the decision to be baptized this summer and he is moving forward in his relationship with Christ.
Kelly’s wife, Jill, was one of many people praying for Jim for years, trusting that God would bring Jim to faith. She also shared on social media that God is amazing and can do the impossible.
“GOD IS AMAZING…He can do the impossible! He is still performing miracles…the greatest being the transformation of a person’s heart and life ❤️
Prayer is powerful!!
The Kelly family, Jim, Jill, and their two daughters have publicly endured a number of trials, and thankfully it’s brought them closer to Christ and to one another. In 2005, Jim and Jill’s son, Hunter, passed away at age 8 from a Krabbe disease. Jim has also battled cancer in his upper jaw, requiring multiple surgeries.
Now Jim is thanking his friends and family for supporting him and helping him see the light and make a positive change with eternal implications.
“My friends, my men’s fellowship group, thank you for helping me be a better man. Thank you to my wife Jill, you never left my side, the one that brought me closer and helped me understand God’s purpose for my life. To my two daughters, daddy loves you so much. Thank you for helping me be a better dad.
Thank you, Hunter. It’s because of you that I know Jesus and I will see you again.”
