As Federal Immigration Laws Were Ignored, Undermined, And Actively Resisted, The Mission Of ICE Has Never Been More Necessary
When a life is cut short, it sends shockwaves throughout the country. No one wants to see people hurt, much less killed. Ever. But the dangerous ideology slamming the efforts of ICE to protect our nation caused people, including Renee Nicole Good (who was tragically killed in Minnesota resisting ICE), to harass and obstruct federal agents doing their duty.
The nation gave President Trump and his administration a mandate to protect the homeland, secure our borders, and to those who refuse to respect our laws, they need to return to their homeland after the Biden administration opened our borders.
For years, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been portrayed by progressive activists as unnecessary, immoral, or even illegitimate. Calls to “abolish ICE” have become a rallying cry on the Left.
But the more honest question is not why ICE exists—it is why federal immigration laws are being openly violated, undermined, and ignored by those sworn to uphold them.
ICE exists because the United States is absolutely a free country, but you can’t have freedom and chaos. It’s also a nation of law and order to protect citizens. And under Biden, those laws were broken at a historic scale.
1. The Biden Administration Allowed Mass Illegal Entry
Under the Biden administration, an estimated 20 million illegal immigrants entered the United States an unprecedented surge in modern history. This did not happen by accident. Border enforcement was weakened, interior enforcement deprioritized, and removal operations sharply curtailed.
Now to deal with the crisis, agencies like ICE become the last line of defense not villains, but safeguards against total lawlessness.
2. Federal Immigration Laws Are Being Broken Daily
The U.S. immigration code has not been repealed. It has not been replaced. It remains the law of the land.
Yet sanctuary jurisdictions routinely refuse to cooperate with ICE detainers. Federal law is ignored at the state and municipal level. Employers, traffickers, and cartels exploit the chaos.
ICE exists precisely because laws without enforcement are meaningless.
3. Democrats Have Not Changed The Law—They Ignore It
If immigration laws are unjust, Congress has the power to change them.
Yet despite controlling Congress and the White House at various points, Democrats have not passed legislation eliminating enforcement or legalizing mass illegal entry. Instead, they choose selective enforcement or outright non-enforcement. Our nation allows millions of legal immigrants to enter America every year.
4. States And Cities Are Actively Undermining Federal Law
Across the country, Democrat-led states and cities are providing taxpayer-funded benefits including housing, healthcare, and financial aid to non-citizens, while refusing to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.
This places ICE in direct conflict with local governments that are actively working against federal law creating chaos, confusion, and unequal treatment under the law.
5. Leaders Like Gavin Newsom Have Openly Advocated Universal Benefits
California Governor Gavin Newsom has gone on the record supporting universal healthcare regardless of immigration status, effectively removing any distinction between citizen and non-citizen when it comes to public benefits.
6. Immigration Has Been Politicized For Power, Not Compassion
The refusal to enforce immigration law is increasingly paired with rhetoric about “demographic change” and long-term political advantage. Common sense Americans know however that mass illegal immigration was encouraged not out of compassion, but out of political calculation.
Regardless of intent, the result is the same: overwhelmed communities, exploited migrants, suppressed wages, strained public services, and eroded trust in the rule of law.
ICE Is Not The Problem, Lawlessness Is
ICE exists because laws exist.
If the Left believes immigration enforcement is wrong, the constitutional path is clear: pass new laws. Until then, demanding the abolition of ICE while refusing to change the law is nothing more than an attempt to govern through chaos.
A nation that cannot enforce its borders cannot enforce its laws. And a nation that abandons the rule of law will not remain a nation for long.
