How America’s Culture Has Shifted Towards Faith, Family, Football, & Freedom
Football has a long represented the core values of American culture. There is nothing that says America more than the hard work, teamwork, determination, and grit that it takes to be successful in the game. The camaraderie, the sweat, the tears, the skill, and the congratulatory after-game handshake all represent the best of America.
When thousands of football fans booed at Taylor Swift during Superbowl 59, I believe it represented more than just a rivalry between the Eagles and the Chiefs, it represents a cultural shift that has taken place in our nation.
Over-Exposure
Granted the over-exposure of the mainstream media’s obsession with Swift and Kelsey has gone way too far and football fans are tired of it. At the same time there is something deeper happening here. I believe this cultural moment in our nation and the boos symbolize a rebuttal of Swift and a culture shift away from the values and ideals she represents.

As one of the few public endorsers of Kamala Harris, Swift became representative of the left’s embrace of values that are counter to everything the Bible teaches and that traditional America holds dear. Swift has become synonymous with far-left liberal values that have led our country to the brink of actual destruction and insanity. Americans have had enough.
Swift’s music has an insatiable obsession with finding love yet lacks marital commitment, glorifies feminism, and is representative of what fathers don’t want for their daughters. Americans are rejecting it, flat out. We see the fallacy of hookup culture and feminism that Swift has come to represent and it’s been found wanting. That’s what the boos represented.
Undeniable Shift
There’s been an undeniable shift in culture and people are returning to faith once again. Bible sales are surging and discussions of faith in the public square are more common than ever.
Americans have woken up to the fact that the left’s values have eroded our culture, and attempted to hijack our families, schools, and freedoms we hold dear and Americans aren’t going to put up with it any longer.
The very fact that Trump has to sign Executive Orders ending child mutilation procedures and forbidding biological males to compete in women’s sports shows just how far we have fallen as a culture. It’s time to return to our roots, return to our faith, and return to God.
If there was anything the four years of Biden’s chaos has taught us, it’s that life without God doesn’t work. The last four years represent the case in point of everything the Bible teaches, played out for the world to witness. Amid this, the Scripture truth, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” resonates louder and clearer than it has in a long time.
Using Influence For Good
For Swift, I think it’s time she uses her platform to influence the young 14-year-old girls who follow her for good. This should include marriage, children, meaningful work, and living a committed life that honors God and returns to the values that made individuals and America great.
