Vance Emerges As Clearest Voice in Conservative Movement Since Charlie Kirk
Phoenix, AZ – Vice President JD Vance delivered a clear and inspiring closing keynote at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest 2025, honoring the legacy of the organization’s late founder Charlie Kirk, celebrating the Trump administration’s achievements, and rallying conservatives for the battles ahead. Introduced and endorsed for the 2028 GOP Nomination by Erika Kirk, Charlie’s widow and current CEO of TPUSA, Vance’s clarity, values, and himself as a clear leader in the conservative movement and the frontrunner for the 2028 Republican presidential nomination.
The event, attended by over 30,000 patriots in Phoenix, marked the first AmericaFest since Kirk’s tragic assassination in September 2025. Vance’s speech blended personal reflection, sharp criticism of the left, and a bold defense of American values, earning roaring applause and standing ovations from the crowd.
A Moving Tribute to Charlie Kirk
Vance opened with gratitude to Erika Kirk for her strength and leadership, praising her role in carrying forward Charlie’s vision. He reflected on the profound loss of Kirk, sharing a personal story he had not previously discussed publicly: in the days following the assassination by Tyler Robinson—a man Vance described as embodying the destructive influences promoted by the far left—Vance struggled with grief, staying up nights researching the event and conspiracy theories.
“What saved me was remembering the inherent goodness of God and that his grace overflows when we least expect it,” Vance said. He contrasted the “fruits” of leftist ideology—addiction, hate, and despair—with the fruits of true Christianity: good husbands, patient fathers, builders, and “slayers of dragons” like Charlie Kirk.
Vance called on the audience to honor Kirk by fighting for what he died defending: truth, unity, and the America First agenda.
Celebrating Trump Administration Wins
Barely a year into the second Trump term, Vance highlighted monumental achievements:
- – Ending the border crisis inherited from Biden and Harris, with seven straight months of zero releases at the southern border.
- – Over 2.5 million illegal immigrants departing the U.S., marking the first negative net migration in over 50 years.
- – Economic benefits flowing from border security: dropping rent prices, record employment for native-born Americans, rising real wages, halved inflation, and the lowest gas prices in years.
- – Relegating DEI to the “dustbin of history,” ensuring merit-based opportunities without apologies for race or background.
- – Protecting free speech, welcoming patriots into the military, and prosecuting left-wing violence networks and their funders.
- – Advancing health initiatives under HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., lowering drug prices and cleansing the food supply.
“President Trump is a builder,” Vance declared, urging the movement to grow by adding supporters rather than tearing down allies.
A Call for Unity and Action
Rejecting purity tests and infighting, Vance emphasized coalition-building: “We don’t care if you’re white or black, rich or poor… If you love America, you have a home on this team.” He rebuked Democrats for dividing the nation by race and gender, while affirming that America has been—and by God’s grace always will be—a Christian nation.
“Christianity is America’s creed,” Vance proclaimed to thunderous applause, crediting it for the nation’s moral foundation, natural rights, and sense of duty.
He called for greater involvement: joining ICE, mobilizing for faster deportations and prosecutions, and ensuring electoral victories to sustain progress.
Looking to 2028
With Democrats eyeing California liberals like Gavin Newsom or Kamala Harris for 2028, Vance mocked their weak bench and puppet-like candidates. Backed by Erika Kirk’s earlier endorsement of him as the next president, Vance’s speech solidified his status as the heir apparent to the MAGA movement.
“If you miss Charlie Kirk, promise to fight for what he died for,” Vance challenged the crowd. “Together, we can fulfill the promise of the greatest nation in the history of the earth.”
As the conference closed, Vance’s message of faith, unity, and unapologetic patriotism resonated deeply, energizing conservatives to build on Charlie Kirk’s legacy and secure America’s future.
