The faith-based app’s annual Lenten journey returns with powerful reflections, fasting challenges, and an all-star cast of spiritual leaders and Hollywood actors
Hallow, the popular Catholic prayer and meditation app, has unveiled an exciting lineup for this year’s Pray40 Lenten journey, promising an unforgettable experience of prayer, fasting, and spiritual reflection.
CEO and co-founder Alex Jones announced the details on social media, expressing his enthusiasm for what he calls an “AMAZING” lineup. This year’s program will feature two spiritual books—The Way and A Song for Nagasaki—guiding participants deeper into their Lenten experience.
Prayer Meets Hollywood
Hollywood stars and faith-driven leaders alike will play key roles in the initiative. The Chosen actor Jonathan Roumie will once again serve as a spiritual guide, a role he has embraced in previous Hallow campaigns.
For the first time, Cardinal Robert Sarah will join Pray40, leading reflections on the power of silence, drawing from his acclaimed book The Power of Silence. Meanwhile, Sr. Miriam James Heidland will take participants on a meditative journey, encouraging deeper reflection on Christ’s sacrifice while sharing her own personal testimony.
Mark Wahlberg and Chris Pratt will team up for fasting challenges, bringing both encouragement and humor to the discipline of self-denial. Jones praised Wahlberg for his commitment to previous Lenten programs and described Pratt as “one of the most incredible men” he has worked with, highlighting his deep faith and infectious joy.
Focused on Spiritual Growth
Rounding out the powerhouse lineup, Fr. Mike Schmitz will offer weekly homilies, delivering inspiring messages each Sunday to help participants stay focused on their spiritual growth.
With just two weeks until the program begins, anticipation is building for what promises to be a transformative season of faith.
