Palestinian protestors kill Jewish man outside Los Angeles
A Jewish man was killed by blunt force trauma to the head outside of Los Angeles Sunday during a peaceful protest violent Sunday, November 5.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Paul Kessler, a 69-year-old man and pro-Israel protester. The death is described as an “antisemitic crime” after Kessler was apparently struck with a megaphone and then fell to the ground, causing trauma to the head. The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles described him as an “elderly Jewish man,” and said a pro-Palestinian protester struck him with a megaphone in what they described as an “antisemitic crime.”
Kessler’s death is being labeled as a homicide.
Anti-Defamation League has published alarming stats indicating anti-semitism is on the rise since the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks on innocent civilians in Israel. According to their research, a 388 percent increase in antisemitism in America.
This event comes on the heels of the October 25 scare also in Los Angeles, when a man yelling “Free Palestine” and “Kill Jews” tried unsuccessfully to break into a Jewish family’s home. Mayor Karen Bass promised increased police patrol throughout the city.
