TikTok ‘influencer’ JVKE shares faith in new Hillsong United cover
Jacob Lawson AKA JVKE (pronounced “Jake”), the viral TikTok music sensation is using his platform to share faith. His latest cover of Hillsong’s “So Will I” is inspiring fans to be open about their own faith.
Lawson whose hit, “Upside Down” was used in over 14 million TikTok videos in 2021 and launched him from college student in Rhode Island to a touring artist who still keeps his faith at the center of his life. Lawson began recording videos on Tiktok to go along with his music during the 2020-2021 Covid lockdowns and found viral success with a few of his songs. Now he is using his platform to share his personal faith in Christ.

His latest work includes a cover of Hillsong’s “So Will I” that he played live in Oakland, Austin, and other key shows. The singer and songwriter shared that at one of his lowest points in his life, feeling terribly alone, God revealed himself as a God who cares about him and could trust him.
“I was really just alone, shared JVKE. I didn’t have anybody, and I just felt so alone. I didn’t really have anywhere else to turn,” shared the musician at his show in Austin, recorded in a Tiktok video. “The only place I knew to turn was up. And I found someone who could really take care of me and I could trust them. And that is God. This next song is about Him, it’s called ‘So Will I’.”
