Raw beef, pork and goat products were distributed nationwide after being produced without required federal inspection
Star Meat Delivery Inc. of Lucama, North Carolina, is recalling approximately 167,639 pounds of raw pork, beef and goat products after federal officials determined they were produced without federal inspection.
The products also carried a false USDA inspection mark bearing establishment number “EST. 1363.” Federal officials say products carrying that number should be considered misbranded and unsafe to eat.
The products were distributed under the A&D Foods label and shipped for distribution to retailers and restaurants around the country.
