Trump Warns of Economic Collapse and World War, Announces Debate Schedule

Former President Donald Trump delivered a stark warning to the nation during a speech at Mar-a-Lago today, expressing grave concerns about the current state of the United States. Trump painted a grim picture of the country’s future under Biden and Harris, suggesting that the U.S. is on the brink of economic disaster and potentially another world war due to weak leadership.

“Our country is right now in the most dangerous position it’s ever been in, from an economic standpoint and from a safety standpoint,” Trump declared. He pointed to what he described as ineffective leadership at home and threats from powerful nations abroad, as well as the rising influence of gangs both domestically and internationally.

Warning of Another Depression

Trump likened the current economic situation to the Great Depression of 1929, warning that a similar collapse could be imminent. “You could end up in a depression of the 1929 variety, which would be devastating,” he said, adding that the U.S. is “very close to a World War.”

The former president also criticized the current administration’s handling of international relations, stating that America’s global standing has eroded under President Joe Biden. He alleged that adversaries around the world no longer respect the United States, making this “the most dangerous period of time” he has ever seen for the country.

Turning to domestic politics, Trump criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her “radical left” and “the worst vice president in the history of our country.” He expressed frustration with what he described as the administration’s failure to control the U.S. border, claiming that millions of people, including criminals, have crossed into the country.

Major Illegal Immigration Crisis

“Twenty million people came over the border during the Biden-Harris administration,” Trump stated, though official figures on illegal border crossings are significantly lower. He also criticized Harris for her handling of the border crisis, labeling her tenure as “the worst in history.”

Trump used the opportunity to announce his participation in three upcoming debates, scheduled for September 4th, September 10th, and September 25th. He expressed eagerness to debate Harris, who he said has been largely absent from public view and incapable of handling the issues facing the nation.

“I look forward to the debates because I think we have to set the record straight,” Trump said, noting that the debates would provide a platform to address the country’s pressing concerns.

Questions from the Press

In his closing remarks, Trump reiterated his belief that the current administration’s policies are driving the country toward a severe economic downturn and increased global instability. He vowed to restore respect for the U.S. on the world stage, stop illegal immigration, and revive the American economy if re-elected.

As the speech concluded, Trump took questions from the press, defending his track record and criticizing media coverage of his campaign events, which he claimed consistently underestimates the size and enthusiasm of his crowds.

Trump’s remarks come as he leads in several polls for the upcoming election, with his campaign gaining momentum amid widespread dissatisfaction with the Biden administration. The former president’s sharp rhetoric and dire warnings are likely to resonate with his base as he seeks to return to the White House in 2024.
