Aaron Judge is on the verge of making baseball history.
The NY Yankee slugger is on the verge of making history with 11 games remaining and two home runs needed to break Roger Maris’s record of 61 home runs in a year. The born-again Christian‘s Twitter profile reads, Christian. Faith, Family, then Baseball and it’s for reasons you may not have guessed.
Aaron Judge is one of the biggest players in baseball. 6’ 7” slugger was adopted by his parents and raised in the small town of Linden, CA. His parents didn’t mention the adoption until Aaron started asking questions. Calling the adoption, “no big deal,” but knowing the impact of growing up in a strong Christian home to give him the opportunities to now play professional baseball is a dream come true. As the Bible says, “it’s truly more blessed to give than to receive,” Aaron’s parents are convinced the blessing of adoption was all theirs. Aaron himself told Daily Citizen,
“I feel they kind of picked me,” Judge told a reporter. “I feel that God was the one that matched us together.”

His parents Wayne and Patty also believe it was a miracle. “Wayne Judge calls the family’s adoption of Aaron a “miracle,” saying “Words can’t describe how proud of him we are.” After her son mentioned how blessed he was to hail from such a family, his mother, Patty, responded by saying, “We’re more blessed than he is.’”
Now he is paying it forward and back in exciting ways. Judge is intentional about putting his faith and relationship with God first. 2 Corinthians 5:17 is the banner across his social media and one of his favorite Bible verses. He’s also actively involved in good deeds through his foundation.
“It’s one of my favorite Bible verses,” says Judge according to Daily Citizen. “[I] try to live my life by it, and always trust the Man above and what He’s got in store for us. We never know what’s around the corner, but if we have faith in Him, He will lead us in the right direction.”
