Kat Von D professes faith in Jesus, turns from occult
Katherine von Drachenberg, known as Kat Von D, the Hollywood-based Mexican-American tattoo artist, TV star, and recording artist had her own come to Jesus moment and got saved! The popular tattoo artist and “LA Ink” TV star, previously known for her dabbling in the occult and witchcraft, has turned a new leaf and is seen in her recent Instagram post giving her heart to Jesus in baptism. The post which contains a video and solely a cross symbol says it all.
“Katherine von Drachenberg, upon your profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and in obedience to his divine command, I baptize you, my sister, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,” the pastor says in the recording.
In July of 2022, Von D shared that she was indeed renouncing witchcraft and the occult and getting rid of her tarot cards and occult books.
“I don’t know if any of you have been going through changes in your lives right now, but in the last few years I’ve come to some pretty meaningful realizations — many of them revolving around the fact that I got a lot of things wrong in my past.”
She continued in the lengthy post saying she was inspired to make changes for the betterment of her family. “And the truth is, I just don’t want to invite any of these things into our family’s lives, even if it comes disguised in beautiful covers, collecting dust on my shelves.”
Now we know why.
Baptism is the outward expression of what’s happened on the inside. The pastor is heard in the video calling Katherine his sister and welcoming her into the family of God.
While some of the artist’s posts on Instagram are still alarming and a little shocking, like all of us, she is a work in progress. Sanctification is ongoing, but for her salvation and taking this step of faith publicly, we all should praise God.
