In what some believe is a miracle, Buffalo Bill safety, Damar Hamlin returned to the field versus the Miami Dolphins this past Sunday, but not without praying in Jesus’ name. The young safety collapsed last season during Monday night football after going into cardiac arrest. Teammates surrounded him in prayer and the game was canceled last season as teammates and fans worried if Hamlin would survive the ordeal. Thankfully, God is good, prayer works and Hamlin returned as part of the punt return team versus the Dolphins on Sunday, October 1.
Hamlin has been public about his desire to return to play again in the NFL after his accident. Hamlin worked hard all off-season and participated in preseason games.
AP reported, “Hamlin put aside his fears and emotions by suiting up and taking a few hits in the Bills’ first full-padded practice of training camp. “This is just another milestone on the journey — might be one of the biggest ones,” Hamlin said. “My faith is stronger than any fear.”
Now his return to regular season games is a vision fulfilled and restoration of a dream for a young man with a bright future ahead.

ESPN’s “Sunday Countdown” crew was visibly touched by the prayer and the special moment. Host Samantha Ponder said it was a “touching prayer.” “This is a really special day for he and his family. I can not wait to see how that Buffalo crowd responds when he runs out there. It’s going to be an incredible scene.”
