In monologue, Cuomo cites moral clarity calls out Biden’s cowardice
- Cuomo tells Biden it’s time a time to be weak
- Hamas is a terrorist organization
- Hamas still has hostages of America and Israel
- Calls on President to stop compromising
NewsNation host Chris Cuomo sharply criticized President Joe Biden on Thursday, accusing the White House of sending conflicting signals regarding Israel and cautioning that no level of political pressure, even from within his own party, should serve as an excuse for weakness.
Cuomo’s remarks were prompted by Biden’s recent call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. During the call, Biden reportedly urged Netanyahu to pursue a ceasefire in Gaza, despite Hamas’s initiation of the conflict with an unprovoked attack on October 7th and its continued holding of Israeli and American hostages. Hamas has so far shown no willingness to make concessions.
In addition to pushing for a ceasefire, Biden hinted that the U.S. would reassess its policy towards Israel based on Netanyahu’s response to these demands.
Cuomo, clearly unimpressed, took the opportunity during his Thursday monologue to directly address President Biden.
“President Biden, you’re treating the war against Israel as if it were another political point of compromise. There is a primary reality: Hamas is a terror organization and they need to give the hostages back.”
