Biden administration made a deal with Iran worth $6B in taxpayer dollars
Though President Biden pledged his support for Israel, his actions and deal-making with Iran may have given the funds for Hamas to invade Israel, firing 2500+ rockets into Israel and killing over 300 people.
Florida Governor Ron Desantis quickly spoke out against Biden’s policies that have provided funding for Iran,
“Iran has helped fund this war against Israel, and Joe Biden’s policies that have gone easy on Iran has helped to fill their coffers. Israel is now paying the price for those policies,” said DeSantis.
Hedge fund manager, Bill Ackman also shared his commentary on the invasion of Israel via X criticizing Biden’s actions as recently as September 18 when the Biden admin released $6B in taxpayer dollars in exchange for US hostages in Iran.
“On September 18th, we agreed to release $6 billion to Iran, but ‘only for humanitarian purposes’ in exchange for five Americans. I remind us all that money is fungible. $6 billion for food and medical supplies frees up $6 billion Iran can use for terrorism and war. And I thought we had a policy of not negotiating with terrorists. Why did Hamas invade Israel last night? Because the United States has consistently not kept its word on its foreign policy commitments and we look very weak. Terrorism loves a leadership vacuum and we have created one.”
Ackman went on to call the US to leadership on a global scale and encouraged additional funds to Ukraine, which have been met with major opposition from the GOP. His point is well taken however and hopefully, the Biden administration will heed the advice.
“The world has become a much more dangerous place because we have not kept our word. This needs to stop now or, dare I say, hell is coming. The world is a much safer place when the US leads, and it quickly can become a living hell when we fail to do so. Now is the time for our government and Congress to show strength, solidarity, and leadership and to follow through on our commitments to our allies and the world order.”
Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanani praised Hamas saying, “What took place today is in line with the continuation of victories for the anti-Zionist resistance in different fields, including Syria, Lebanon and occupied lands,” Kanani told ISNA.
In 2012, @BarackObama set a red line with Syria on the use of chemical weapons. A year later, Assad gassed and killed 1,400 non-combatants. We did nothing.
In 2014, Putin invaded Crimea. We did nothing.
In September 2021, we abandoned Afghanistan in a sloppy withdrawal…
