“I pity the fool.” You may recognize those words by Mr. T (Laurence Tureaud) star of the 80s hit A-Team TV series sitcom that brought adventure and action to television sets around the nation. The 5 season show featured ex-special forces/A-Team always helping the underdog and saving lives at every turn. Today, Mr. T is still at it saving lives in real life, just in a whole new kind of way.
Today, Mr. T is active in sharing his faith on social media and pointing people to the only one who can truly save their life – Jesus Christ. His 300k + followers hear about Mr. T’s faith on a daily basis, inspired that he has found the real reason for living – serving God and bringing hope around the world. Though social media is a powerful tool to quickly share information albeit revelation in this case, for Mr. T, words are not enough in themselves. To put shoes on his talk, Mr. T is active in action ministry now too, volunteering and serving with disaster relief ministries during times of crisis and disasters.
Let’s have a look at the message Mr. T is sharing online.
March 7 – The love of God makes all things possible, even forgiving our enemies. Truth as taught by Jesus in the sermon on the Mount – see Matthew chapter 5.
It would be almost impossible to love somebody who has done you wrong, but with God, “All Things Are Possible!” As Christians, that’s what We Do; we Love and Forgive our Enemies… With God’s Help! Mathew 19:26 #mondaythoughts

March 7 also – one of my personal favorites in Psalms – sharing that to find true contentment and fulfillment in life, we need to find our joy in God.
“Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”Psalm 37:4

In terms of putting his words to action, Mr. T served in disaster relief ministry during the 2005 Hurrican Katrina in New Orleans and he has since raised money for other disasters including the recent Kentucky tornadoes and Colorado wildfires.

Mr. T went on to share that he prays that God would bless him to be a blessing and tries to reflect that in his actions. This includes his time on Dancing with the Stars raising money for children battling cancer – something near and dear to his own heart after he overcame cancer in the ’90s and at 69 years old today continues to give God all the glory.
