Hillsong Pastor thanks God for his grace
Former Hillsong NY pastor released his first Instagram post since November 2020, thanking and crediting the grace of God for keeping his family together. Lentz went on to thank his friends and family for the unconditional love and grace that he’s been shown since the revelation of an abusive leadership style and multiple accounts of infidelity were brought to light in 2020 by Lentz while serving as lead pastor at the New York City mega-church. The church quickly grew to become on of the Big Apple’s largest churches with celebrities like musician Justin Bieber, basketball star Kevin Durant, and others attending. All that came crashing down in 2020 as revelations of his unfaithfulness surfaced. Since then, Chrishan and Danielle Jeyaratnam have taken over as campus pastors, as Hillsong as a whole has walked through numerous scandals including their founder Brian Houston also being relieved of his duties for questionable conduct with another woman.
Its been a challenging road but we are alive, we are at peace and thanks to the grace of God we are TOGETHER. Not sure what the future holds for us, but we do know that we face it as a family and for that I am so thankful. My deepest thanks to our friends and family that have shown us such unconditional love and grace when we have desperately needed it. Forever grateful.. we are hopeful about what is ahead!
