President Claims Daily Cognitive Tests, Dismisses Polls Showing Trump Ahead
In Friday’s interview with George Stephanopoulos, President Joe Biden made a series of statements regarding his cognitive health that have left many puzzled. During the pre-recorded and seemingly edited interview, Biden initially claimed he takes a cognitive test every day, only to later clarify that he does not have to because he has been assured that he is “good.”
The interview took a more intense turn when Stephanopoulos pressed Biden about undergoing a cognitive test to assure the American people of his mental fitness. Despite the persistent questioning, Biden refused to agree to take an additional test. “I don’t need to take a test. I take one every day, they say I’m good,” Biden responded, emphasizing his confidence in his cognitive abilities. The American people however, are concerned.
Tough questions by Stephanopoulos
Stephanopoulos continued to ask tough questions, including, “Are you sure you are being honest with yourself that you have the mental and physical capabilities to serve another four years?” Biden defended his record, claiming, “No one could have gotten done what I have gotten done.” The exchange grew more heated when Stephanopoulos challenged Biden by pointing out that he is now further behind Trump in recent polls.
Visibly angered, Biden dismissed the significance of the polls, reminding viewers that similar predictions were made in 2020. “This is what they said in 2020, and yet I won, and I plan to win again,” Biden asserted. Stephanopoulos highlighted that Biden’s approval rating has dropped to 36%, to which Biden responded by calling Trump a “congenital liar” and claimed Trump lied 28 times during their debates.
Biden insists he can win
Biden expressed his determination to stay in the race, claiming, “I am the most qualified person to beat Trump, and I am the one who can beat him.” He stated that he had spoken to major supporters in Congress and the Senate, who all encouraged him to stay in the race. When Stephanopoulos asked if he was sure, Biden said, “If the Lord Almighty comes down and says get out of the race, I would, but He hasn’t.”
The mixed messages regarding his cognitive testing and his reluctance to take another test have raised eyebrows and prompted further questions about the President’s health. The pre-recorded nature and apparent editing of the interview have only added to the uncertainty surrounding his remarks.
As debates about the President’s cognitive health continue, the American public remains keenly interested in any developments that might provide clarity on the matter.
