Tyler Perry is no stranger to difficult times. The uber-successful writer, director, and entrepreneur pressed through seemingly insurmountable odds to international acclaim. Now he’s reminding friends and family on social media to press through the pain to the other side.
Perry reminds himself of what he’s been through, by taking his Geo Metro car for a spin – a car similar to the one that served as his shelter when he was homeless, not sure where his next meal would come from. Today, Perry is a rags-to-riches story of what can happen when someone works hard and trusts God in the process.
“Every now and then I take my Geo Metro out for a spin. (When I was homeless it was a car just like this that was my shelter).”
Perry reminded people to appreciate the blessings and fight on to the other side of pain.
“If looking back at how far you’ve come doesn’t make you thankful, I don’t know what will. There’s no way to be ungrateful when you appreciate every blessing you have. And if you’re still in the struggle, please fight on…. It’s so sweet on the other side of pain.
