In a heartfelt and faith-filled plea, Today show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie has asked for prayers for the safe return of her beloved mother, Nancy Guthrie, who has been missing since late January 2026. Authorities in Arizona are investigating the 84-year-old’s disappearance as a possible abduction, with her home near Tucson designated as a crime scene.
Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her residence in the Catalina Foothills area on the evening of January 31. She was reported missing on February 1 after failing to attend church services, prompting family members to check on her. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has stated that investigators believe she was taken from her home against her will, potentially in the middle of the night. Evidence at the scene, including signs of forced entry and a small amount of blood, supports the theory of a criminal act. Nancy requires daily medication, heightening concerns for her well-being.
On February 2, Savannah Guthrie shared a request for prayer on Instagram, accompanied by a “Please Pray” graphic, expressing deep gratitude for the outpouring of support and urging collective prayer:
