OCTA and Caltrans are studying improvements between Lambert Road and the Orange County-Los Angeles County line, where steep grades, heavy truck traffic and an ending lane contribute to traffic problems.
Three alternatives under review
Transportation planners are considering doing nothing, building a truck lane from Lambert Road to just south of Tonner Canyon Road, or extending the proposed lane to the county line.
A virtual public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. Public comments will remain open through Oct. 16. The project remains in its preliminary environmental and engineering stage.
