Trump declares his innocence, vows to fight on for Constitution and America

Former President Donald Trump this morning addressed the charges of falsifying business records against him, defending his actions by stating, “I paid a lawyer a legal expense and a bookkeeper marked it in the books as a legal expense. A legal expense is a legal expense. It’s not sheetrock or construction; it’s a legal expense. What else are you going to call it?”

Trump further criticized the trial as a “sham” orchestrated by President Joe Biden and his allies in Washington, alleging it was very unfair. He complained about the judge refusing all requests made by his legal team, including a change of venue, and claimed that the trial was rigged against him. He suggested the judge had conflicts of interest, casting doubt on the integrity of the proceedings.

Trump has until June 13 to appeal.

Trump pointed to a surge in crime in New York City, arguing that instead of addressing this pressing issue, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and “Get Trump” District Attorneys continue to come up with charges against him.

This level of legal action against a former president is unprecedented in the history of the United States.

“I’m doing something for our country and our constitution, that is far beyond me. This is bigger than Trump. This is bigger than me and my presidency.”

Trump continued to declare his innocence stating, “We are living in a fascist state.”
