In a miraculous turnaround, Pastor Matthew Barnett overcomes three strokes and three blood clots, now preaching on rooftops

Pastor Matthew Barnett has witnessed God do amazing things. From buying and renovating a multi-million dollar building with just $50,000 in the bank. To then successfully develop one of the leading recovery programs in the nation at the Los Angeles Dream Center, to launch a movement of dream centers across the country and world. God has done amazing things and people’s lives have been set free from addiction and thousands have found hope for a better tomorrow.

But Pastor Matthew recently fell on hard times himself suffering three strokes and three blood clots in the brain. News traveled quickly across social media and a call to prayer was put out with thousands responding, believing God for a turnaround. And a turnaround they received.

Barnett reported that the doctors were amazed at his quick turnaround while Barnett himself called it a “creative miracle.”

For that, thousands are thankful for a quick recovery for Barnett who has already been on the speaker circuit sharing his story of victory at Dream City Church in Phoenix.

Preaching from Rooftops

Just as Barnett went down so did the roof of their building forcing the church to relocate temporarily. Angelus Temple moved outside. In typical Barnett fashion, nothing can stop this man from preaching and bringing hope to the hurting. Forced to meet on top of the parking structure, holding open-air services under only solar panels, and getting pushback from the city and neighbors for doing so, Barnett is hoping repairs will be completed shortly on the historic building founded by Aimee Semple McPherson in the Echo Park neighborhood of LA. Whatever happens, we know the gospel will continue going forth and the poor will continue being served. Truly nothing can stop the move of God in and through Pastor Matthew Barnett and the Dream Center.
