Bethel Church in Redding attracts seekers and believers from across the nation & industry

Disney’s “High School Musical” star Joshua Bassett was baptized at Bethel Church in Redding, CA this past month, and its impact is being felt on a generation searching for answers in all the wrong places.

Basset, 22, grew up in a Christian home but left the faith in pursuit of the world. “Hi, my name is Joshua, And long story short, I grew up Christian, and I ran the other way as far as I could go in pursuit of ‘truth,’ and that only ended in addiction, depression, suicidal ideation, eating disorders, etc.”

“And no other teacher gave me anywhere near the peace that Jesus Christ did. And I’m here to publicly declare him as my Lord and Savior,” Bassett concluded at the Northern California mega-church known for its revival, healing, and miracles culture.

Bassett went on to share his faith publicly again at the Nickelodeon Teen Choice awards, where he thanked his Lord and Savior and encouraged those struggling that there is a God who loves them.
