Christ Pratt, Jeremy Camp, others join Dodgers for event celebrating faith, family

An all-star lineup in more ways than one came out for the Los Angeles Dodgers Faith & Family Day on July 30. The Faith and Family Day at Dodger Stadium was the first since 2019, spearheaded by all-star pitcher Clayton Kershaw. The day featured music by Jeremy Camp, an opening pitch by Chris Pratt, and testimonies of faith by Dodger players.

Kershaw told the LA Times that the event was being planned but the plans accelerated in response to the controversy of the Dodgers deciding to honor a LGBTQ+ group that mocks true faith, Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Kershaw wrote on Twitter, “We are grateful for the opportunity to talk about Jesus and determined to make it bigger and better than it was before COVID.”

Chris Pratt chimed in on Twitter, stating, “What a day!”

Key players and personnel taking part in this special day included: Clayton Kershaw, Max Muncy, Chris Taylor & Coach Dave Roberts.
