Aaron Judge makes history with 62nd homerun

NY Yankees baseball slugger Aaron Judge made history today with his 62nd home run this season – the most single-season home runs in history surpassing Roger Maris’s record of 61 home runs. What many people don’t know about Judge is that he was adopted by Christian parents and raised in the faith

The record-setting ball player from outside of San Francisco made history today. YES Television caught up with him after the game. 

“It’s a special achievement… I will cherish and enjoy this moment. I don’t think it’s sunk in yet.”

The Yankees were clearly ecstatic about the accomplishment. They tweeted out, @TheJudge44is the American League home run King!

Roger Maris Jr. shared his own thoughts on social media, writing, “Congratulations to Aaron Judge and his family on Aaron’s historic home run number 62! It has definitely been a baseball season to remember. You are all class and someone who should be revered. For the MAJORITY of the fans, we can now celebrate a new CLEAN HOME RUN KING!!”
