When you might have been ready to give up hope on this next generation, these Women’s College World Series (WCWS) softball champions at the University of Oklahoma completely redeemed your perspective this week. These champion softball girls pointed to the true joy of the Lord as their strength.

No matter what happens, win or lose, they’ve made up their minds to love the Lord no matter what and find hope and strength in them.

“I think that is what makes our team so strong is that we’re not afraid to lose because it’s not the end of the world if we do lose. Yes, obviously, we worked our butts off to be her and we want to win, but it’s not the end of the world because our life is in Christ and that’s all that matters,”  Jayda Coleman said in an interview after the game.

Joy from the Lord is really the only thing that can keep you motivated and in a good mindset no matter the outcomes,” Grace Lyons stated after the team won the championship.

This softball team and its players have chosen to follow Christ and give him glory whatever comes. Thankful for this bold stance and their courage in the face of an increasingly dark world.
