Prayer gathering at Dodger Stadium & historic loss after ‘Pride Night’

By THRiVE! News 2 Min Read

First, in a public outcry against the Los Angeles Dodger’s decision to honor a Christian and Catholic hate group, hundreds showed up for a prayer procession at Dodger Stadium Friday night, while the stadium remained mostly empty for its Pride Night honor ceremony.

The Prayer Procession in Parking Lot 13 brought together Christians and Catholics united against hate in Los Angeles. The procession began at 3 p.m. PST, just hours before the first pitch. A Jewish rabbi and former Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva among others spoke at the event.

The Friday night game kicked off a three-game series against the San Francisco Giants, culminating in the Dodger’s worst loss in 125 years while on their home turf, a 15-0 shutout Saturday night. Some are calling the historic loss divine retribution due to public blasphemy by the Dodgers.
