Bickle admits “inappropriate behavior” from 20+ years ago is real

IHOP-KC founder, Mike Bickle who has taken an indefinite leave of absence after a flurry of accusations from multiple women came against him, has confessed to “inappropriate behavior” toward others was real.

Bickle clarified that he is not admitting to the “more intense sexual activities that some are suggesting.” However, he did confess to “moral failures” which is plural that happened 20+ years ago.

“I hate my sin and see it as serious and grievous before a holy God,” shared Bickle in a letter published on X today. “I quickly and sincerely repented in a way that resulted in receiving assurance from God followed by a daily resolve to live holy in all my ways.”

Bickle shared about his personal repentance and that God assured him of forgiveness and empowered him to overcome. He admitted, however, that, “To this day, I remain sorrowful about those past failures.”

Bickle decided to go public with his confession of sin from 20+ years ago because of the public nature of the accusations. He also explained he decided to wait on his confession due to the false allegations of sexual abuse against him, which he blatantly called false.

“There are many misrepresentations of my words and actions in these communications that are out of context, greatly exaggerated, or blatantly false. “

Regardless, Bickle stated he will remain out of public ministry until he has confirmation from the Lord and others that he is to return, if that ever comes. Bickel who is 68 years old has run IHOP-KC for the last 25 years. He stated he believes this is God’s loving but “delayed” discipline inn his life and he will entrust himself to the Lord through the process. He also asked that people not engage in defending Bickle but to let the Lord handle it for him. He commended his leadership team and said their ministry is in great hands.

The Roys Report published a conversation with “Jane Doe” recently who went into detail about the misconduct from 20+ years ago and did not reveal the identity of the woman.
